If you’re reading this post, you’re are probably one of the thousands of people who wonder, “does P90X work?” If you’re like most people, you’ve probably found yourself watching the informercial for the ump-teenth time, and now you’re thinking to yourself, “okay, it looks real. It looks legit. The results that people are getting are amazing! But really, does P90X work or is it all an illusion and a scam?” Let’s find out the truth!
So Does P90X Work?
Well, I could easily just end the post right here and say, YES! P90X Works! But there is one word that makes all the difference in the world when you’re trying to find out, does P90X work. And that word, “If”. Yup. IF. P90X works IF YOU work! It’s as simple as that!
I get a ton of messages asking all sorts of questions like, “Does P90X work if I don’t follow it exactly to a “T”?” or “Does P90X work if I don’t follow the nutrition guide?” or a BIG one that I get, “Does P90X work if I’m trying to GAIN weight?” Let’s tackle these questions one by one to find out the answer to “Does P90X work?”
Does P90X Work If I Don’t Follow It Exactly?
So the question, “Does P90X work if I don’t follow it exactly to a “T”?” can be answered very easily, Yes… and No. What? Let me explain. The answer to this question is going to depend greatly on your goals. What is your goal? Are you trying to lose weight? Or are you trying to bulk up and gain muscle. Depending on how you answer this question will determine if you will need to follow P90X exactly as outlined or not.
Does P90X Work If I Don’t Follow the Nutrition Guide?
Again, similar to the question above, “Does P90X work if I don’t follow it exactly?” the answer to “Does P90X work if I don’t follow the nutrition guide?” is yes and no. But as a caveat to this question, I will say that simply “eating healthier” will NOT get the job done. “Eating healthier” is completely relative to each individual. What does “eating healthier” mean? If to you, “eating healthier” means having only one Big Mac instead of two then you need a crash course in proper nutrition and that is exactly what the P90X Nutrition Guide is there for.
If you’re trying to lose weight, then it is best for you to follow P90X to a “T” to get the best results. The program will completely outline everything you need to do and everything you need to eat. Follow it to a “T” and you will quickly be able to answer others when they ask “Does P90X Work?” Don’t follow P90X exactly as outlines and when people as you, “So, does P90X work?” you’ll have to point to your gut. 🙂 It’s only 90 days. In the grand scheme of your life, that is nothing. You can do it!
Does P90X Work If I Want to Gain Mass?
Now if you’re trying to GAIN weight and muscle with P90X, like I did in my first 90 days, then you can’t really follow P90X exactly as outlined. Why not? Because the nutrition guide will not provide you with enough calories to gain the mass that you’re looking for.
When I put on 17lbs in my first 90 days of P90X, my plan based on the P90X nutrition guide was a Level 2. But here’s what I did to gain 17lbs of muscle in my first round of P90X, I ate as if I was a Level 3! So instead of having around 2500 calories per day, I would typically be in the 3,000 to 3,500 calorie range. And trust me, this was a LOT for me to do.
So Does P90X Work for Me?
To answer the question, “does P90X work for me?” I’m going to let my results speak for themselves. P90X has become my “go to” program of choice. I have done many of the other Beachbody programs but for some reason I always come back to P90X. Why? Because when people ask “Does P90X work?” I can look them dead in the eyes and say, “Absolutely!”
