P90X/ Asylum Hybrid – Day 2

Today was day 2 of my P90X/ Asylum hybrid and man o’ man did I struggle. Vertical Plyo was the workout today and it’s a doozy. My nutrition was solid throughout the day so I was feeling pretty good before I started but Shaun T and Asylum sure put me back into my place.

P90X/ Asylum Hybrid – Day 2 – Vertical Plyo

After going through an entire round of Insanity: The Asylum I felt like I was in my best shape ever. But when you’re away from your home for 17 of the previous 20 days, and only get a few workouts scattered in here and there, your conditioning definitely takes a hit.

P90X / Asylum Hybrid – Day 2 – Failing

I really struggled through the Vertical Plyo workout today. The main reason I feel is that I was still so sore from our Fit Club workout 2 days ago where we did Rev Abs – Power Intervals and Turbo Fire – HIIT 15. Throughout the day I was even struggling to walk up and down the stairs. My legs felt really “rickety” but that wasn’t going to stop me. I made the commitment to get through this, and I will get through this.

Overall I give myself a 7 for today’s workout. I tried to push myself but there were times when I just didn’t have it. Exercises like one-leg power jumps and X-jacks with a power band really burned me out. But I guess, looking back at the workout, it’s not such a bad thing after all. While going through this P90X/ Asylum hybrid I definitely have room for improvement, and that’s what it’s all about – getting better every day.
