So You Think You’re Eating “Healthy” Huh?

Everyday I talk with a lot of people who are struggling with P90X, Insanity or other programs. When I hear them explain their struggles of not being able to lose weight or gain muscle, the first question that I ask them is “How are you doing with the nutrition plan?”

But I Eat “Healthy”

“Well, I’m eating healthy” or “my wife cooks healthy food” or “I’m eating like a rabbit” are some typical responses that I’ll get.

“So, you’re not following the nutrition plan?” I’ll ask.

“Well, it’s just that …..” insert your own excuse here.

Okay, well that’s good that you’re eating “healthier” but what are you actually eating.

“Salad” is ALWAYS one of the responses that I will get.

And while I have nothing against salad, most people’s ideas of a salad are something that looks a little like THIS


People are literally depriving their bodies of the necessary nutrients and fuel all in the name of eating “healthy”.

Anyone who has had success with P90X, Insanity or any of the other programs know that you will see 80% of your results by including the proper nutrition into your lifestyle. “You are what you eat” has never been more true.

Keep It Simple

When changing eating habits you need to start simple. Taking a 180 degree turn in eating will only lead to failure. You may stick with it for a week or two, but more than likely you will go back to your old eating habits. Start by changing one meal at a time.
